Zuma appoints convicted fraudster Joe Ndhlela to switch Shivambu

UMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party chief Jacob Zuma has appointed convicted fraudster Joe Ndhlela because the social gathering’s nationwide organiser.

Ndhlela replaces Floyd Shivambu who has since been appointed because the social gathering’s secretary-general.

JOE NDHLELA APPOINTED MK PARTY NATIONAL ORGANISER

In a press release, MK Party head of presidency Magasela Mzobe stated in session with the nationwide excessive command (the social gathering’s highest choice making physique), Zuma has appointed Ndhlela because the nationwide organiser with fast impact.

A CONVICTED FRAUDSTER

In 2002, Ndhlela was sentenced to fifteen, 12 and 9 months of imprisonment on three fees of being an confederate to fraud throughout his tenure at Transnet. 

According to stories, Ndhlela dedicated fraud between February 1993 and late 1996, and the Companies Act contravention was dedicated between November 1994 and August 1997.

The Companies Act contravention and the alleged corruption concerned a funeral coverage scheme for Transnet staff and R682 520, which Ndhlela – former SARS commissioner Tom Moyane’s brother – obtained in fee.

FROM ANC TO PATRIOTIC ALLIANCE AND NOW MK PARTY  

In February 2021, Joe Ndhlela resigned from the African National Congress (ANC) after being a member for 40 years. 

In November 2023, Ndhlela – who can also be a former CEO of the Premier Soccer League (PSL) – resigned from Gayton McKenzie’s Patriotic Alliance (PA).

He joined the social gathering in March 2021 after being approached by McKenzie and his deputy, Kenny Kunene.

In his resignation letter, Ndhlela stated that after the native authorities elections in 2021, he had witnessed a worrying growth within the social gathering: the development of a small clique of coloureds and people near the presidency.

“This is done under a guise and false narrative that coloureds have never been and continue not to be considered for opportunities in our country,” Ndhlela stated.
