MUMBA ENDORSES HH, WILL NOT CONTEST 2026 ELECTIONS
Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) President, Dr. Nevers Mumba, has introduced that he won’t contest the 2026 General Elections, endorsing President Hakainde Hichilema as a substitute.
Mumba made his stance identified in the course of the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Party for National Development (UPND) at their Secretariat on Wednesday afternoon.
The occasion was attended by President Hichilema, Republican Vice President Mutale Nalumango, and different notable figures.
Mumba said that, having been in management earlier than, the MMD understands that financial progress takes time.
He expressed confidence that the UPND administration is heading in the right direction.
President Hichilema welcomed the MMD to the UPND Alliance, noting that it stays the strongest political grouping within the nation.
Vice President Nalumango added that the signing of the MoU is a part of the UPND’s manifesto to unite the nation.
