The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has reportedly picked 26-year-old pupil chief Sihle Lonzi to switch former public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane in Parliament.

Last Wednesday, Mkhwebane confirmed her resignation from the EFF which she had been a member of for 12 months.

She joined the Red Berets after she was impeached in September 2023. She turned the primary head of a Chapter 9 establishment to be axed.

In her resignation letter, Mkhwebane mentioned she desires to relaxation and spend time along with her household. She additionally expressed her gratitude to the EFF and its members.
