Youth Director within the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Norman Chisale says he’s not conscious that there’s a warrant of arrest on his head.

He mentioned he’s not handing himself to the police as he has not been summoned by the regulation enforcement company.

According to the arrest warrant Malawi Voice has seen, Police desires to arrest Chisale for “publication of false news likely to cause fear and alarm to the public” which they mentioned was opposite to to Section 60 of the penal code.

Police mentioned Chisale commited the offence on December 21 2024 whereas at Bangwe Desert Ground in Blantyre

At the rally, Chisale allegedly challenged to mobilise folks from Nsanje to Chitipa to rise in opposition to anybody who could try to Arrest the previous president Peter Mutharika.

This, in response to police, was prone to trigger fesr and alarm to the general public.
