The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has obtained a preservation order from the Special Tribunal towards Groen Mintirho (previously Enviro Mobi), which is related to former member of Parliament and African National Congress (ANC) spokesperson Pule Mabe.

This is in reference to alleged procurement irregularities involving the Gauteng Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment (GDARD) and the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM).

SIU OBTAINS PRESERVATION ORDER AGAINST PULE MABE’S HOUSE AND VEHICLE

In October, The South African reported that Mabe and his seven co-accused appeared on the Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crime Court sitting in Palm Ridge after handing themselves to police the same day. 

They have been charged with 29 counts, together with fraud, theft, contravention of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), cash laundering, and aiding one other to learn from the proceeds of illegal actions. They have been granted R30 000 bail every.
