Scott Sakupwanya speaks of constructing a 15 000 seater stadium in Mabvuku – Nehanda Radio
Mabvuku Member of Parliament (MP) Pedzai ‘Scott’ Sakupwanya has introduced plans to assemble a state-of-the-art 15,000 seater stadium in his constituency.
This was revealed by Sakupwanya’s brother Tonderayi.
Tonderayi confirmed the stadium can be located at Mabvuku Number One Ground the place they’ve secured a 30-year lease from the City of Harare.
“I can verify that we now have a 30-year lease from the City of Harare to have Mabvuku Number One Ground.
“We are planning to build a 15000-seater stadium there next year The stadium is not going to be confined to Scottland only but it will be open to everyone,” he revealed.
Tonderayi who’s the chairman of the moneybags Scottland FC who’re on the verge of gaining prime flight league promotion, mentioned the stadium won’t be unique to their membership solely.
“Schools will also be allowed to use the facility and we will put up an open pool where schools will compete,” he added.
“It can be an all-encompassing facility with a high-performance centre obtainable as effectively as a result of we wish to develop sport in all ways in which we will as Scottland FC. So, we’re working around the clock to see to it that we will begin the work that must be performed.
“At the moment, we are working on preliminary designs for the football stadium and we will also retain basketball courts, a rugby field, tennis and cricket facilities in the stadium.”
