Prophet Walter Magaya, Temba Mliswa, Farai Jere and former Zimbabwe captain Benjani Mwaruwari have been disqualified from contesting for the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) presidency.

Those remaining within the presidential elections set for 25 January 2025 in Harare are Martin Kweza, Makwinji Soma-Phiri, Twine Phiri, Philemon Machana, Marshall Gore and Nqobile Magwizi.

The positions up for grabs embrace, a president, two vice presidents and 6 bizarre board members.

An announcement from ZIFA mentioned, “The ZIFA Normalisation Committee appearing because the ZIFA Electoral Committee in accordance with Article 85(9) is happy to announce the names of all of the candidates who’ve met the eligibility standards stipulated within the ZIFA Statutes, 2024.
