Oshakati invests tens of millions in improvement

OSHAKATI Mayor Leonard Hango has emphasised that infrastructure is the spine of improvement in any locality.
Hango made these remarks through the groundbreaking ceremony for the development of a gravity sewer community and water reticulation system for Oshakati North Extension 12 and Portion Extension 01, in addition to the upgrading of roads in NATIS, Extension 3 (NHE), to bitumen customary beneath Phase 01 on Monday.
According to Hango, these initiatives will likely be accomplished at a complete price of N$10.5 million. Among them, the development of the gravity sewer community and water reticulation system for Oshakati North Extension 12 and Portion Extension 01 will price N$5.2 million. The appointed contractor for this challenge is S. Shikongo Construction and Renovations CC, represented by Mr. Petrus Shikongo, whereas the consulting engineers overseeing the challenge are Windhoek Consulting Engineers.
Hango defined that the world to be serviced, Extension 12 Oshakati North (Ehenye), will embody 221 residential plots, 10 common residential plots, 9 native enterprise plots, six city agricultural plots, three institutional plots, two public open areas, and one plot designated for parking adjoining to the enterprise plots.
Meanwhile, the upgrading of NATIS, Extension 3 (NHE) roads to bitumen customary, Phase 01, is estimated to price N$5.3 million. The contractor for this challenge is Sash Trading & Earth Works CC, represented by Abraham Shaanika, with Lithon Project Consultants, represented by Mr. Cilliers Steyn, overseeing the work. This street building challenge contains upgrading roads to bitumen customary, in addition to the addition of paved sidewalks and stormwater infrastructure.
