‘I’ll speak…don’t push me’ – Julius Malema warns Floyd Shivambu
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) chief Julius Malema maintains he thought of Floyd Shivambu as a brother earlier than Shivambu left the celebration.
Shivambu, 41, departed from the EFF in August to affix the MK Party. The two had shared a detailed relationship for years, stemming from their time within the ANC Youth League. However, their bond deteriorated when Shivambu allegedly blindsided Malema by resigning with out prior discover.

“Sometimes this so called brotherhood thing is not brotherhood. It borders on gangster relationships that we are together and we can’t call each other to order even if the person is wrong,” he stated in a podcast.
The EFF chief says his frienship with Shivambu went past politics. Speaking to David Mashabela, Malema admitted that the frienship ended when his former deputy jumped ship.
“Well I regarded him as my brother and he regarded me as a gangster so it’s for him to answer that question. There was nothing that was limited to political, it was beyond that. And it ended the day he decided to join the MKP and betrayed me,” he stated.
Malema stated though he was saddened by Shivambu’s departure from the EFF, has since handled the ache.
“I think it was a good thing he left because we don’t have to look over our shoulders to what is he up to now because he had his own ambitions about the EFF.”
Malema additionally stated a few of the members of his celebration knew about Shivambu’s imminent departure.
“I never initiated a fight with anyone. They went to sit and said ‘we have to drop him, we have to finish him off’,” he stated.
“I regarded him as my brother. If he doesn’t feel the same about me it’s his problem. I did everything for him as a brother. If I must be challenged one day and be pushed, I will talk. Don’t push me.”
