The world soccer governing physique, FIFA, by way of its president Gianni Infantino has paid tribute to the late Dynamos legend, Ernest Kamba.

The 1973 Soccer Star of the Year died lately at his his house in Norton.

He was 76.

Paying tribute, FIFA president Infantino expressed deep condolences on the passing of Kamba whose contributions to the Zimbabwean will at all times be remembered.

“I would like to express my sincerest and heartfelt condolences on the passing of former international player and coach, Ernest Kamba. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness we feel for this loss,” wrote Infantino.

“During his international career, Ernest Kamba won several caps with the Zimbabwe national team. At club level, he will be remembered for his long career with Dynamos FC, both as a player and later on as a coach.”

“On behalf of the worldwide soccer group, I want to lengthen our deepest sympathy to the Zimbabwe Football Association, and to Ernest Kamba’s household, buddies and family members.

“Our thoughts are with all of you. We hope that these memories and our words of support may help bring some peace and solace at this difficult time.”

Kamba performed for Dynamos between 1966 and 1976 and gained two league titles with the Glamour Boys.

He additionally gained the championship with the Harare giants as coach in his transient stint in 1983.
