Sundowns new man

Last month, Mamelodi Sundowns shocked the PSL world once they introduced the firing of Manqoba Mnqgithi whereas sitting high of the log.

This cleared the way in which for Esperance’s Miguel Cardoso, who was introduced because the Brazilian’s new man hours after Mngqithi’s public exit.

The Portuguese supervisor prevailed in his first PSL recreation, defeating Stellenbosch 1-0 to place the stress again on Orlando Pirates.

Following his announcement, Cardoso was fast to stipulate his plans, saying, We have to check the workforce and the gamers and it’s apparent that the gamers we now have are technically nicely developed,

“They suit the game of a coach that wants to impose himself on the game. Because that’s the base – to have quality players. I struggled to impose myself where the quality could not sustain what I wanted to put in,” the PSL coach added, who could have a hungry Orlando Pirates workforce to take care of.

“I need a workforce that may management the video games. Controlling the video games means the workforce have to be stable within the 4 moments of the sport. Must perceive very nicely what to do with the ball, clearly, however as I bear in mind, you need to have the ball to maneuver, not the ball however the opponent with a view to discover the correct areas to assault these areas.

“When teams play against Sundowns, we really need to understand this question of the spaces. Where are the spaces? How we can create, how we should utilize and use the spaces that are in the game. So, having control of the game also has to do with being aggressive in the moment you lose the ball because as much as you control the game, there is a moment where you are going to lose the ball and you need to be strong in that moment. I think it’s a huge solidarity aiming the players, I prefer the players to tun for three or four seconds and make an effort to recover the ball immediately, rather than coming down, reorganize and defend to win the ball and then having to go forward again.”
