Athletes’ representatives invited to attend 2024 Athletes’ Representative Forum

THE Namibia Athletes’ Commission has introduced that it’s going to host the 2024 Athletes’ Representative Forum in Windhoek on 16 November, encouraging all athlete representatives from nationwide federations to attend.

“The Namibia Athletes’ Commission is dedicated to amplifying and supporting Namibian athletes. Through advocacy, education, and forums like the Athletes’ Representative Forum, the Commission works to create an inclusive and athlete-centred sports environment in Namibia,” the Commission stated.

The Namibia Athletes’ Commission outlined that the occasion will tackle key subjects, together with efficient athlete illustration, the ideas and significance of truthful and clear election processes, figuring out widespread challenges throughout sports activities, growing a communication technique for athlete illustration, and setting targets and timelines to reinforce communication.


“This event invites athlete representatives from all Namibian national federations to a dynamic forum focused on strengthening athlete advocacy and representation within sports governance. The forum will feature guest speakers Dr. Ndeulipula Hamutumwa—an author, corporate strategist, business leader, and passionate sports enthusiast—and Shoki Kandjimi, a specialist in corporate communication and public relations. Both will offer valuable perspectives on effective representation, communication strategies, and leadership in sports,” the Namibia Athletes’ Commission added.

The occasion shall be moderated by Olympian Maike Diekmann, Chair of the Namibia Athletes’ Commission, and supported by Romio Goliath, an energetic wrestler and Vice Chair of the Commission. Together, Diekmann and Goliath will lead discussions to make sure a productive, athlete-focused day of studying, collaboration, and strategic planning.
