Former LUSAKA Province Minister BOWMAN LUSAMBO has been sentenced to 4 12 months imprisonment with laborious labour for corruption, tax evasion and possession of properties deemed to be proceeds of crime.
LUSAKA Magistrate FAIDES HAMAUNDU convicted Mr. LUSAMBO on 9 out of 10 counts of corruption, tax evasion and possession of properties deemed to be proceeds of crime.
Delivering the decision, Magistrate HAMAUNDU, nonetheless, acquitted Mr. LUSAMBO’s spouse NANCY MANASE who was collectively charged with him.
Magistrate HAMAUNDU has dominated that the prosecution has not proved the proceeds of crime cost towards Mrs. LUSAMBO.
